My Day on a Plate: Akram Khan

3pm Piece together the routine on stage.

7pm After a shower I go to a local caf with the crew to chat about the show.

8.30pm Thai restaurant for boiled white rice ? I want it plain and pure ? with chicken and lentils.

10pm Green tea while watching a comedy show, then I watch back some footage from today.

1am Email my collaborators before bed at 3am.

'DESH' , which opened at the Curve theatre in Leicester, runs 4-8 October at Sadler's Wells, London EC1

Akram's passion for lighter, 'cleaner' Asian cuisines means he enjoys great flavours without the rich sauces associated with dishes from India. There'd be nothing wrong with him taking one good quality multi-vitamin supplement as an insurance for healthy eating, but he probably doesn't need to take multiple single supplements.
