My Day on a Plate: Cat Deeley

6.30am Hot water and lemon. I read that it neutralises the acid in your stomach ? I might be totally gullible but it makes me feel good. Have coffee while selecting my outfit for the American series of So You Think You Can Dance, before racing to the studio.

9am We pre-record the opening number of the show, which for me means getting ready for literally eight seconds on stage. Join in the script read-through, with another coffee.

4.45pm Banana and a glass of champagne before the live show starts.

8pm After interviews I go home to make a giant caprese salad. In Los Angeles you get such great ingredients. I don't sleep well so I try not to eat anything too stodgy.

Cat's tendency to be swept along on the constant wave of LA diet fads means her day is lacking calories, carbs and fat ? all things we need to watch our intake of, but all essential for a balanced diet. Hot water and lemon does little more than hydrate the body, much the same as a cup of tea would first thing in the morning.
