4pm I prefer to eat before the show: chicken and pesto pasta with lots of vegetables.
6.30pm Make-up time. I drink lots of water and sometimes a Lucozade.
7.30pm Start The Nutcracker on rollerblades for the skating scene, then change for the snowflake dance, which is really aerobic.
8.30pm Avoid the box of chocolates in the interval.
9.30pm Home for an Ovaltine before bed.

Nancy has a good understanding of her body's need for long-lasting energy. The best food source is starchy carbs like oats, bread and pasta. These foods are often wrongly demonised as being fattening, so it's good to see that Nancy realises their value and includes them along with plenty of fruit and veg and some lean protein.
